Helldivers 2 Studio Considers Reducing The Pace Of Updates Following An Intense Initial Period

Even without the entirety of the PSN difficulties, the recent months have been intensely eventful for Helldivers 2, with the team at Arrowhead issuing numerous significant, transformative updates at an incredibly rapid rate. Nevertheless, current indications suggest the team is opting to slow down their update schedule, with evidence suggesting that a reduced rate of enhancements could benefit the creators, the community, and the game's overall enjoyment in a constructive manner.

Arrowhead's CEO, Johan Pilestedt, initiated a discussion at the beginning of May regarding modifications in the studio's current method of operations, acknowledging that the recent series of changes may have been excessive. A new approach has been recently affirmed by the Helldivers 2 community manager known as Twinbeard on Discord (credit to PC Gamer) while conversing about when players might expect the forthcoming update.

"We're opting to allocate additional time to the upcoming one and potentially to those that follow," Twinbeard articulated. "It's become evident to us that the previous rhythm of releases was likely too swift to uphold the level of excellence we aspire to and that our player community merits."
